Jesse Duncan didn’t start out as a software founder. He started out as a technician — scooping yards, running routes, and watching a perfectly good business struggle under the weight of bad tools. The scheduling was a spreadsheet. Billing was manual. Clients had no way to reach the company except by calling a cell phone that was always in someone’s pocket while they were in a backyard. Jesse spent enough time inside that operation to see exactly what was broken — and exactly what it would take to fix it.

He looked at every platform on the market. Some were built for general field service and didn’t understand the pet waste model. Others had the right idea but were overbuilt, overpriced, or just painful to use day-to-day. None of them felt like they were made by someone who’d actually done the work. So Jesse built Scooper — purpose-built for this industry, designed to be simple enough that an owner-operator can run it solo and powerful enough to scale a full crew.
